How To Use This Site

Ok, first question: Who is this site for?

Well, everything on here was written by a high school pit percussionist (except the stuff that wasn’t)…so it would make sense that it be used by the same. It can also be used by the band director of any high school marching band…but I suggest that the said director not take any rude statements about high school band directors to heart.

 

Second question: What do I do with the stuff here?

This one is an easy one! Use it! If your the frustrated percussionist, take the new gems of knowledge and show them to your director. If you are the director, take these gems of knowledge and show them to your frustrated percussionists.

 

Third question: Why are you doing this?

Because I am a frustrated pit percussionist that has had to carry duct tape with me at all times, got tendonitis because my keyboard was too low, has had to fight with the battery for seats on the drumline bus, and  has had to wave my arms franticly over my head and sing the national anthem at the top of my lungs to get the director’s attention. I want to make is so that others do not lose their voice sing a song that they only know some of the words to.
